The IBW crew has established a bit of a tradition for ourselves the Friday before GTOM over the years. We escape the throngs in the downtown/capital area and do a foot-hike to two of the finest and most eclectic bars this side of the Mos Eisley Cantina: The Wisco & The Crystal Palace. The Wisco always has a surprisingly good local or touring band playing and The Crystal Palace always has, well, some real freaks.
So, this year we decided to team up with the Wisco and put some of our beer on tap and import two of our favorite bands from Chicago: the hillbilly trance of Skin Graft Record’s Tijuana Hercules (https://www.tijuanahercules.com) and some synergistic power-point post-punk for your bottom line, The Shrivelers.
Show starts after 9pm. The Wisco is at 852 Williamson St. We’ll probably hoof it down to the fluorescent womb-state of the Crystal Palace after the show.
